In this final post in my three-part series of favorite New York moments, I reflect on nondescript moments that left as much of an impression as the trip’s highlight reel. Warning: the feels poured out of me in this one:
With exception to highly processed foods and a nod to indulging with moderation, I love it all. Give me carnitas piled high in a street taco, a hearty kale salad with homemade croutons, rolls and rolls of sushi any day.
However, my knowledge for hunting out a destination’s delicious eats doesn’t really translate to my culinary skills. I am a novice in my own kitchen and tend to lean toward simple yet flavorful recipes. When a former colleague and fellow blogger approached me with the idea of collaboration, I jumped at the opportunity.

Sydney Opera House
Seeing the Sydney Opera House in living color was surreal and oddly familiar. I’ve seen it many times in movies and magazines; maybe that’s why I had a deja vu moment. The iconic theatre looks as grand in person as it does in photographs. After a full day of rain the day prior, we were glad the sun came out to play to see us off to Melbourne, where we spent our last night before heading back to the States.
